Sian Higginson-Collits
Speech Pathologist
M Speech Path. MSPA. CPSP
Sian is the owner and sole Speech Pathologist of Kidscape Speech Pathology in Canberra. Sian's areas of interest include speech difficulties, language acquisition and delays, social skills and literacy delays. She also has experience working with children who stutter.
Sian enjoys getting to know her clients and their families so that she can create sessions that are based on the child's interests. Using this approach, she has learnt a lot about trains and railways, superheroes, minecraft, and animals. Sian has found that making sessions meaningful for the child increases their engagement in activities and helps them reach their therapy goals faster.
Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Sian also has experience in delivering interactive telehealth sessions individually and in groups.
In her own time, Sian enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, playing games, and learning new hobbies. Sian has recently tried her hand at making resin dice!
HEATHER Gordon
Office Manager
Heather is Kidscape Speech Pathology’s Office Manager! Heather brings nearly a decade of administrative experience across a range of industries, including dental services, allied health fields such as speech pathology and psychology, recruitment, and trades. Her diverse background and attention to detail make her a valuable asset to the Kidscape team.
Heather is passionate about creating positive connections with the children and families who are part of our community. She takes pride in creating a welcoming and organised environment and thrives on working through a to-do list!
Outside of work, Heather enjoys a good cup of coffee and immersing herself in the latest Romantasy book. She also loves a walk with her Golden Retriever Riley!
